Visual impairment (or vision impairment) is vision loss (of a person) to such a degree as to qualify as an additional support need through a significant limitation of visual capability resulting from either disease, trauma, or congenital or degenerative conditions that cannot be corrected by conventional means, such as refractive correction, medication, or surgery.
  • Do you know anyone who wears glasses or contacts? Why? How do glass or contacts help?

  • Are there other solutions for people with visual impairments?

You can do a laser surgery.
Use the resource from the last section to find out about visual impairments
-describe two visual imapirments

one viual impairments is macual degeneration which is when the photoreceptors wear out and in your vision you start to have a spot in which you are unable to see and the second visual impairment is cataracts which clouds the lens of your eyes and this fogs up your vision
-describe some possible solutions.
for macual degeneration so far there is no treatment for it but you can prolong or try to prevent it from happening by eating healthly for the second visual impairment so far there is only one treatment which is to transplant a new lens into your eye.
